: Child support is about forcing men to give money to women, not about supporting children. People who throw this slur at men don’t do it because they care about children. They don’t care what “child support” funds are used for, they don’t call mothers with overdue child support payments “deadbeats”, they don’t want those women locked up behind bars, they don’t want default 50/50 custody, they are not hostile to female pedophiles, and they don’t want women punished for paternity fraud. Women who give their children up for adoption, abandon them or abort them are met with sympathy. Deadbeat is a misandric slur, not a neutral insult for all parents evading the consequences of reproduction. Children are considered the property of women.
