Notice how benevolent sexism is not capitalized; that is because benevolent sexism does not exist.
Nobody really believes that benevolent sexism exists. No woman does and not even feminists do. The idea is merely a strategy to downplay misandry and deny female privilege.
If women really thought that chivalry and their countless other systemic privileges were misogyny, they would be fighting against them, not defending and demanding them everyday. As a matter of fact, women actually call men misogynistic for pointing out these privileges and declaring that they should end. If these privileges are misogyny, it’s not also misogyny to take them away. More proof that misogyny is bullshit.
